For a great holiday, why not stay at home?
The school year is almost over. Lucky families are going to spend their holidays abroad. But some are going to stay in the UK. Our reporter met three teenagers and asked them about their plans for… very British summer holidays!
We're on holiday at the end of the week. What are you going to do?
Liam: I'm going to spend a month at my grandmother's in Kent. I'd like to go to Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury, but I don't know if she is going to take me there.
Emily: I'm going to Brighton with my parents at the end of the week. I love the seaside. I want to go to the beach every day, go shopping in the Lanes, and I'd like to visit the Royal Pavilion.
Is it going to be your first time in Brighton?
Emily: No, we go there every summer, but I love the place. There are a lot of great shops and there are plenty of things to do.
And what about you, Amar?
Amar: I'm going to visit the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, I'm super happy!
A stadium? I don't want to visit any stadiums during my holidays. Don't you think it's going to be a bit boring?
Amar: Oh no, not at all. I'm a big football fan. And after that, I'm going to spend a week in Swansea with my family. They've got a great football club, Swansea AFC. Maybe we're going to see a match at the Liberty Stadium.
What are their holiday plans?
