- « Up Helly Aa » is a large viking festival that takes place in Shetland. Viking festivals are also known as « Fire Festivals ».

- The festival’s aim is to celebrate the town’s Viking heritage.
- It’s the biggest fire festival in Europe because the procession is incredible. Lots of people work all year to make Up Helly Aa a success.
